Well April Fools sure has been hectic here at the Box of Danger Headquarters (April Fools… We’re broke) but seriously, behind the immediate Takeover of Kira, it only took a matter of hours before he, and his evil accomplice 2nd Kira to destroy the site, and make it a barren wasteland where nobody can see who is who, and even worse… Random bannings. Anyone who was banned due to Kira writing your e-name in his e-deathnote are now revived by the powers of Master WGS.

After knocking out Kira, the board was infested by everyone’s least favorite swarm… Little Girls. As Hello Kitty had taken over our board, we did not know what to do?!

But Alas, of course we didn’t stop there. We then proceeded to make a false episode with audio that cut in and out, in such a way to feel like it had actually just lost audio, and the kicker is that Master WGS went onto the video explaining it was Youtube’s fault, actually causing people to blame the new layout for the lack of audio. Sorry, if you don’t like the new layout, that isn’t what caused the sound to go out.

Well, it’s been fun, but everything (at least, everything I can think of) has been reverted, but we’ve kept the Hello Kitty theme in the User Control Panel, so if you prefer it, you can keep it.

Hey, kids! Remember that zany book series by K.A. Applegate in the nineties about a group of kids who could morph into animals? Remember that television adaptation that Nickelodeon dared to show?

So over the weekend, Xero, WGS and myself were all in Xero’s basement hanging out, trying to figure out how we want to do things for Ohayocon in January, when we all got really bored.  Xero, being the clever bastard he is, told us to follow him to his room, that we were going to work on a random project.  After watching countless, awful, abridged series, and videos highlighting the fact that Johnny Young Bosch isn’t a voice actor, he decides we’re going to abridge the first episode of Hellsing: Ultimate.

With no script, no practice, while watching the episode on his TV with no audio, with all three of us recording our lines simultaneously on three different computers.  Xero literally just started assigning roles without any prior thought process.

Despite literally doing this off the cuff, and how terrible it truely is, I honestly must admit that it’s pretty hilarious, probably one of the funniest things we’ve done.

The crux of this video is simple: we made this as an example of what NOT to do should you decide to abridge an anime, or any show really.  All too often we’ll see series that literally feel exactly like this, when if the creators would have taken some time to premeditate, to write a script, to cast the roles, to mix in music and sound effects, to make an effort, the whole thing would possibly turn out 10 times better than it already shouldn’t be.
