What my post meant was: why do you have to watch only anime?

Oh! Well you don't have to... it's just that so many people wonder what anime to watch and I was like "HERE'S MY SUNDAY'S BEST" and threw out that big 'ol chart.

I watch a lot more than anime personally, though all I've been consistently watching is Legend of the Galactic Heroes, which everyone on the planet should see at least once

Would any of you recommend AMC's Hell on Wheels program for me to watch?

Watch Top Gear. It's great, just don't get too attached to them not doing ridiculous stunts in the first seasons. As they get more funding, they get more crazy. I love it though.

I don't really like top gear. It's not that I am trying to differ from you guys it's just that cars don't really interest me. Getting to see foreign countries and architecture is pretty cool though.

How many of you out there watched Daria when it came out? I know I did even though I was barely walking at that age. Some more of my favorite shows are Invader Zim, My little Pony FIM, Being Human, Foyle's War, Sherlock and How I met Your Mother. I only really enjoy the latter for its arching story and series of events (even if it gets repetitive).

I loved Daria.

And Top Gear doesn't need to be about the cars. Cars don't interest me much, either. But their specials and gimmicks are always great, such as driving to the magnetic North Pole. That's not so much about the car, so much as it is about the dangers of the arctic.

At first I was like ehhh cars are okay.

Then I watched an ass ton of top gear.

Now I like cars and English people.

I liked the show when I was younger. I liked it then because I liked those sort of things, the cars were still boring but the ridiculous escapades that the three got them selves into were hilarious. Now I'm older and I don't care for such things anymore, over five years I have grown more analytical and cynical.

I'd recommend giving Community a watch. It's pretty funny, and all the episodes are on Hulu if you have a Hulu+ account.

I love community! Some of the lines on that show really seemed like they reqired a lot of wit to have concocted them.

You best be talking about the physics theory instead of that awful piece of hackneyed garbage that attempts to be intelligent but all of the jokes are like, "Look at what we believe, and for all that you know, are nerds! This is what ALL nerds are like." If they spent time with plot, jokes, characterization, truth, or even physics I might care; alas, they do not, so I do not.

I hate that show. It's thoroughly unfunny and I've had three different people say I remind them of goddamned Sheldon.

Worse still i've been told I'm like Raj and Howard. That entire show could be summarised in a single episode of Nerd joke, Physics joke, Sex joke with intervals of laugh track between each joke so you'll know when to laugh instead of having an actual sense of humor.

I enjoy Big Bang Theory a good bit. The jokes are good, and the characters are developed well (at least to me, I have no ideas as to what you guys call well-developed). Also, I appear to be much like the character Sheldon on the show, as repeated many times by friends (lookin' your way on that one, Buck). If I wanted something with a different sort of humor (which is the case at times) I would watch something else, like Monty Python's Flying Circus. The show's pretty good, and it's better than other comedies on TV.

For me, a well-developed character is one that we get know the ins and outs of, whether by learning of their backstory, their personality or some other method

A well developed character for me is one that is consistent, and that we at least have some back-story of, meaning that we know at least vaguely where they are from, why they are on the show, and such.
